COVID-19 FAQ

According to the US CENTERS FOR DISEASE CONTROL

“There is no evidence that the virus which causes COVID-19 can be spread through the use of pools and hot tubs. Proper operation, maintenance, and disinfection (e.g. with chlorine or bromine) of pools and hot tubs should inactivate the virus that causes COVID-19.”

Pool Boys recommends pool and hot tub owners diligently follow proper maintenance practices. Most of these reminders are the generally accepted practices pool & hot tub owners will be familiar with. The following information reflects the guidance that has been provided by sources such as CDC and Health Canada in response to questions regarding the COVID-19 virus relative to residential pools & hot tubs.
